What is it that causes otherwise mostly intelligent people that makes them want to
blame everything on the President of the United States? Maybe I am being too kind
when I say 'mostly intelligent' people! There are even some who say it's
his fault hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans!
Since George W. Bush is the current President, I referred to the current crop of
'it's all his fault' as Bush bashers, but the same has been true of just about
every President in the past and will surely be true of all future Presidents.
I suppose it is because he IS the President and just about everyone wants to blame
a mess, war, economic downturn, etc. on someone. After all, this is the 'It's not
MY fault' so it must be 'someone else's fault' society. You know the one that says 'Oh poor man, his daddy beat him, it's not his
fault that he robbed and murdered innocent people, let him go!' Or maybe 'the poor
man is retarded, we can't punish him for raping and killing that girl'. Never mind he ran
from the police, (Why would he do that if 'he didn't know better'?) and tried to
hide. Give me a break!
People need to know that although the President is considered the 'Leader of the
free world', he cannot make such decisions that cause the mess, war, economic
downturn all by himself. There is an elected body of people called Congress that actually makes
the decisions. True, the President can request Congress to go along with his
decisions, but that does not mean they will.
There is an element of the population that don't seem to realize or care that the
reason they CAN gripe and complain today without fear of retribution, because of
the decisions both past and present by the President AND the Congress to fight the evil that is
trying to convert the whole world to a terrifying religion that believes anyone
that does not belong to their way must be killed. They do not care that innocent people are
killed or even members of their so-called faith.
The situation in Iraq back in 2002 is very reminiscent of the way an evil tyrant
named Adolf Hitler was performing his acts of genocide. I don't see many people
remembering this today. How quickly we forget! I believe the message after the world found out
about the Holocaust, was 'Never again'! But it was happening again, in Iraq. It is
still happening in the Sudan. But most Americans don't seem to care or realize, if we
don't fight the evil, it will surely engulf us all.
I learned a long time ago to keep my mouth shut when conversations turn to about
politics or religion. You cannot change anyone's mind about these issues and it
only makes you and the others in the conversation upset, mad and things are said that you wish
hadn't been said when the conversation (argument) is all over. But this is my site
and my 'place' to rant.
You don't have to agree with me and I don't expect everyone will. But sooner or
later, if we don't stand up and fight for what is right, you and I will not be able
to express our opinions, because the world will no longer have freedom anywhere.
